Back to where it all began

Seed Marketing Solutions was created in March 2019 with a mission to offer consistent and affordable marketing support as an extension to their clients’ businesses. Company owner, Molly, identified that many SME businesses she had previously worked with had smaller budgets which required clever thinking to create strong marketing strategies. She aimed to help them to identify the best marketing channels which would give them a strong return of investment, allowing the clients to reinvest and grow their marketing budget, awareness, and conversions in the future.

In 2020 with client work building, it was time to expand. Stella joined the team, taking it from a one-man-band to a dynamic duo. And what a fantastic addition to the team Stella was, bringing with her a passion for design and analytics, developing client projects from initial ideas to fully-fledged solutions.

Unfortunately, after only a couple of months with Stella onboard, the world was hit with the coronavirus pandemic. The dreaded covid-19 wreaked havoc amongst our clients, particularly those in the hospitality and events sectors. With a dent in our workload and adapting to homeworking, we tightened our belts and did everything we could to help our clients and keep the business going.

Due to being furloughed, Stella decided to advance her data analysis skills, beginning a part-time MSc in Computer Science with Data Analytics. As the pandemic died down and the workload began to increase again, Stella came back on board on a part-time basis and weren’t we glad to have her back!

Despite the challenging times, it was a period of learning in which we have come out stronger and more resilient, with the business pivoting to have a more diverse range of clients. It was a huge relief to have survived the worst of the pandemic and we continue to focus on the large number of positives that came out of the dreadful situation.

As our client numbers and workload was beginning to grow once more, it was time to hire another team member. We welcomed Rona who joined the team in October 2021, which has marked another huge step for the business. Bringing Rona onboard has been a huge boost to the team, bringing some serious social media skills and a passion for event planning with her. It’s been great to see our creativity and diverse skillsets develop as the team has grown.

While the business initially started out known as Dash Marketing, with the shake-up of the pandemic, it was time to take things to the next level. As a result, the company underwent a crucial rebrand, becoming Seed Marketing Solutions in January 2022, with the launch of social platforms and a new website.

The business has since gone from strength to strength. With several new clients coming on board over the past six months, it was time to move away from the working from home setup into a new office space. Cue our sparkly new address, 9-10 St Andrews Square!

Moving in at the beginning of March 2022, our new office allows us to work better as a team to develop and implement our robust marketing strategies. An added bonus is the office roof terrace where we can enjoy spectacular views of Princes Street and the city skyline.
